Apostle Paul

For every ten people you meet
there will be one person
whose childhood wounds
have not been worked out.

You will not like them.

For every ten people you meet
you will be the one
who has not worked out
age old wounds.

You will not be liked.

This is not a surprise.
There are 8 billion people on the Earth.

The journey is not
to avoid
but to see
all
as on a journey
of mind, body, and soul.

They have travelled
a great distance.

Who knows what conditions
greeted them on the shores of arrival?

Who knows what they have had to carry
for this last leg of their pilgrimage?

Jesus said
if you love
only those
who love you
in return,
what reward is there?

And is that not an invitation
to receive the joy
of becoming
a person of
steadfast kindness
as he was?

Come Holy Spirit
Inspire me
Surround me
Animate my soul and body
to love and to see
as Jesus did

Amen

May the people who bother you the most
become the very portal for
your transformation

In the Name of Jesus
who asked God to pardon the
religious and governing officials
nailing him to a cross
