Lectio Divina
The Lord is gracious
and compassionate
slow to anger
and rich in love
Psalm 145:8
Prayer
God of mercy
I carry my regrets like stones—
each one a weight
each one a whisper of what could have been
I have spoken when I should have listened
held back when I should have loved
clung tightly when I should have let go
And yet—
You refuse to turn away
Slow to anger
Steadfast in compassion
Your mercies never come to an end.
If only
I could
be so kind
to myself
and hold my flaws
without scorn.
Teach me LORD
to practice kindness
as I return to you.
Amen.
Blessing
Dear Friend
May you know the kindness of God,
who does not keep score,
who does not measure your worth
by your success or your failures.
May you discover your belovedness
while yet immature and on the journey.
In the Name of the One
Who Delights in Showing Mercy
Amen.
Very powerful! Thank you for these reminders and may the Lord continue to bless you, your family, and your ministry.
