Lectio Divina
Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.”
John 21:12
Prayer
You greeted your friends—
those who denied you—
with an invitation:
Come, have breakfast.
No rebuke.
Just firelight and bread.
The scent of grace
rising with the morning.
You fed them first,
restored them gently—
not with shame,
but with your presence.
And now,
despite all my drifting,
my silence,
my own denials—
I hear you still,
calling through the smoke:
Let’s eat.
Amen.
Blessing
May your faith be one of communion.
Not moralizing determination.
May your prayers sound less like a business meeting,
and more like a picnic by the lake.
May you hear the invitation of Jesus.
His yoke is easy.
His burden is light.
In the Name of the One
Whose Mercies Never Come to an End
Amen
Nice touch with the audio part. Well done.
