Lectio Divina
He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
The measure of a man
is the measure of his heart

Prayer
O God
who walked the garden
in the cool of the day.
Teach me
not how to control,
but how to listen.
Not how to be strong,
but how to be still.
Let my life
be shaped
not by noise
but nearness.
I have been a man
who chased wind
and called it purpose.
I have been a man
who mistook silence
for absence.
But you
O Steady One
were in the quiet
building something in me
without name.
Let what remains
be rooted
be sincere…
a life
my daughters
do not need to explain…
only trust
and smile
and say,
he is mine.
Blessing
Dear Friend
May your partner and your children,
those who see you behind the curtain,
say proudly of you,
this is my father
this is my husband
this is my example of love.
In the Name of the One
tending to the garden
of your soul.
Amen
