Lectio Divina
Happy are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
Jesus of Nazareth
Prayer
Lord
what is it like
to be light enough
to float?
To no longer clutch
the resume
the mirror
the scroll of curated life?
To forget
whether I am ahead
or behind?
There are birds
who have never seen a bank statement.
Still, they sing.
May I live
with a song and a smile
for what cannot be nourished
by bread alone
has been found.
Blessing
May you not romanticize wealth nor poverty.
May you embrace your humanity as a gift.
May you seek the divine as your treasure.
May you be happy and blessed beyond human measure.
In the Name of Christ,
Who taught us the Way of happiness.
Amen
