Before there was achievement
There was breath
Before there were goals

There was creation singing
The birds do not hurry
The trees do not compare
This morning does not apologize
for arriving slowly
Thank you Lord
Today is not a problem to solve
But a gift to receive

May you notice and receive
what has not been earned
May you move through the day
with open hands
