Lectio Divina
Leaders are victimized by victimization.
Edwin Friedman
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”
Mark 1
Prayer
God of the quiet place
Keep me from becoming
every voice that calls my name
Before I hear of
where I am needed
where I am wanted
where I ought to be instead
Remind me of why
I am here
To enjoy
To glorify
Within my limitations
Blessing
Dear Friend
Not every anxious voice in your life
is yours to carry.
May you be centered
in the particular call
of this season in your life.
May you have the courage
to remain within it.
Be strong and courageous
to let your yes be yes
to let your no be no
In the Name of Christ
Who Preached in Galilee
Amen
What’s mine to do
What’s not mine to do
What’s mine to say
What’s not mine to say
What’s mine to care about
What’s not mine to care about
