In the beginning

This morning, I come
without
the better version of myself
Quiet
the explaining
the proving
the performing
noise
Show me
the quiet joy
of being known
without fear
Oh living water
be the spring
welling up in me
Blessing
Dear Friend
May you stand before God today
with nothing to offer
but yourself.
May you discover
the original gift of humanity
in paradise:
to be seen
