Lord
I want to create beauty with words
You want for me to become beautiful

do I become
a saint?

who knows himself to be one

Teach me
to serve
without watching
myself serve
To give
without keeping count
To be gentle
without reminding myself to be
Let goodness
not be something I reach for
but the natural way
I move in the world
I was taught that to serve you
meant to do something extraordinary
Show me the better way
May I be so at home in love
that I forget
there ever was
another way to live.
